Women's Wrestling Weekend 

Saturday 12 October – Tayla Ford Wrestling Seminar

Tayla Ford is a New Zealand freestyle wrestler with many years of competition experience at the highest level of the sport. She has competed in three Commonwealth Games, winning two bronze medals. In 2014, she was the first New Zealand woman to win a Commonwealth Games medal in wrestling.

In August Tayla will make history AGAIN, when she steps on the mat to become the first EVER New Zealand woman to wrestle at the Olympic Games.

Where: Elements Fitness & Martial Arts

Time: 10am – 12pm

Cost: $60

For Tri-State Cup competitors, this seminar is included in your comp registration!

If you’re only doing the seminar, please secure your ticket through Elements. This seminar is open to all genders. All gyms and affiliations are welcome to attend.


Sunday 13 October – Tri-State Cup

The Tri-State Cup is a beginner’s wrestling tournament for women in ACT, NSW and Victoria. It’s a stepping-stone, for women who train but have no comp experience, into the wider competition scene. Learn more

Where: Erindale PCYC

Weigh in time: Between 7:45 and 8:30am
Start time: First match starts at 9am

Cost: There is no registration fee to compete.

All competitors MUST be a current member of either – NSW Wrestling, ACT Wrestling or Wrestling Victoria

  • NSW State Level Senior: $100
  • Victoria National Level Senior 18 years and over: $170
  • ACT State Level Senior: $85
  • We encourage you to be registered in the state you reside but if price is a limiting factor, competitors from out of state are more than welcome to join ACT Wrestling, the cheapest option
  • Memberships are valid for one year from the date of registration
