Clash on the Coast - Beach Wrestling Tournament
Beach Wrestling Tournament (all ages). The competition follows a round robin format, guaranteeing a minimum of 2 matches for each athlete. The rules are simple.... Don't let anything other than your hands or feet touch the sand!

HOW TO REGISTER
1. Register on Smoothcomp.com as normal
2. During registration you will be asked to provide your Wrestling Australia membership number. If you are not a member with Wrestling Australia you can get a membership number by clicking here
3. You will then be taken to another site. Enter your details and then select from either an 'Event Membership' or an 'Annual Membership'
4. When it comes to selecting a club, if you are not affiliated with a club on the list select INDEPENDANT.
5. Once you have received your Wrestling Australia membership number come back into smooth comp and enter your membership number as required to finalise your registration for this event.
Family Discount
If multiple family members from the same household participate in the tournament, they can get a family discount.
The first person entering will pay $50, and each additional entry will cost $25.
Please use code WRESTLE25 for each entry after the initial registration to activate the discount.
Competition Format
Wrestlers will have a minimum of 2 matches per division.
No matter if you win or lose you will continue to the next match
If there are only 2 athletes in a division they will compete best of 3 matches
Note: If an athlete has no opponents in their division they will be moved up to the next weight or age division
BEACH WRESTLING RULES
Designed for MMA, BJJ, judo and wrestling to compete in an even rule set.
Beach Wrestling eliminates ground wrestling and allows upper and lower body holds
Objective: Athletes compete in a round robin format. The first person to 3 points wins the match. Who ever wins the most matches will be the overall winner of the weight division and crowned KING OR QUEEN OF THE BEACH👑
Scoring points:
Taking your opponent from standing to the ground is 1 point (A takedown is considered anything other than the sole of the hands or feet touching the ground.)
Taking your opponent from feet to back is 3 points and ends the match
Pushing your opponent out of the circle is 1 point
