Coming back for a third time in 2022! The Wrestling Super Series is Australia’s newest combat sports tournament, open to all who are eager to test their wrestling abilities under the official UWW (United World Wrestling) rules. This exciting new series welcomes all who register to compete in freestyle wrestling with internationally accredited referees and judges. In partnership with Blacktown City Council, this series of four events will be held in a COVID-Safe environment for Adult Men, Women and Youth (U-15 and cadets) athletes.

08:30 AM – Kids and Cadets
09:30 AM – Juniors and Seniors
– Any 2 person division (best of three matches)
– 3 person division (true round robin)
– Any +4 person division (double elimination) all competitors to fight in bronze bracket
– Any +9 person division (single elimination) with 3rd & 4th bronze match
Smoothcomp (our technology partner) is a tournament software hosted online and provides live scheduling of competition times & brackets.

Age and Weight Categories:
The following age categories that WAI use are those of UWW’s. The age categories are as follows:
Kids 15 and under
Cadets 16-17 years (from 15 with medical and parental certificate)
Juniors 18-20 years (from 17 with medical and parental certificate)
Seniors 20 years and older
|Male Seniors 20+|
|Male Seniors Division 1||For wrestlers with MORE THAN 2 YEARS of training and competition experience in Freestyle Wrestling.|
|Male Seniors Division 2||For wrestlers with LESS THAN 2 YEARS of training and competition experience in Freestyle Wrestling.|
*Wrestlers in the Junior age category are allowed to participate in the competition for Seniors. However, wrestlers ages 18 in the year concerned must provide a medical certificate and parental authorisation. Wrestlers aged 17 in the year in question may not participate in the Senior Category.

Entry Fees Per Event:
Adult competitors: $60 (Seniors)
Youth competitors: $40 (Under 15 & Cadets & Juniors)
Spectators: (Children $5, Adults $10, Family $30)
– All wrestlers must be a current member of their State Wrestling Federation (Register Here)
– Required clothing include rashguards, grappling shorts, wrestling singlets, and wrestling shoes.
– Singlets will be on sale on event day, however it is strongly advised to purchase them before the event. All wrestling supplies Shogun Martial Arts: Equipment for sale
Weigh ins are done at entry prior to matches starting (weigh in table next to entry)
Senior Wrestlers will have a +2kg weight allowance.
Cadets & Juniors +2kg weight allowance.
Kids Under 15 – no weight allowance
Wrestling Super Series is a freestyle only competition.

Held at Blacktown Leisure Centre Stadium on Sentry Drive, Stanhope Gardens.
In partnership with Blacktown City Council, these events are operating under COVIDSafe guidelines.
